Welcome to Jinks Middle School, the oldest middle school in Bay County, celebrating 75 years of excellence, tradition, and community! My name is Chris Coan, and I am honored to serve as the proud principal of this remarkable school.
Since opening our doors in 1950, Jinks Middle School, named after C.L. Jinks Sr., has been a cornerstone of education in Bay County. For three-quarters of a century, we have nurtured generations of students, helping them grow academically, socially, and personally. Our legacy is built on a simple but powerful foundation: be RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN. These guiding principles help every student become the best version of themselves as they prepare to take the next step into high school and beyond.
As we celebrate 75 years of Hornet pride, we honor our history, embrace the present, and look forward to the bright future ahead. To our students, families, staff, and community members: thank you for making Jinks Middle School a place where every student can thrive.
CARPE DIEM – Seize the day, embrace every opportunity, and be the best you can be.
With pride and gratitude,
Christopher M. Coan
Principal
