Transition Planning for Military Families:

Our transition planning for military families begins with a warm welcome in the front office and personalized assistance on the first day, where we walk students to class. We continue to check in with students during their transition to ensure they feel supported and comfortable in their new environment.

Academic Planning for Military Families:

At our school, we understand that military families often face unique transition challenges. That's why we offer comprehensive transition planning tailored to the needs of military children and their families. Our Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLAC) is crucial in supporting military students. The MFLAC counselor regularly checks in on students to provide guidance and emotional support, helping them navigate the ups and downs of military life. Additionally, we host summer-time informational Student and Family Gatherings to provide military families with essential information, resources, and a welcoming environment to connect with others facing similar experiences.

Resources for Military Families:

In tandem with the MFLAC counselor, we provide additional resources, community support, and academic enrichment opportunities.

Student-Led Transition Team (S2S Club):

Students will be teamed with leadership students; those students assist with new students, welcoming them to campus and getting them involved in other campus opportunities.

Support for Military ESE Children:

We understand that military children with exceptional needs require specific support. We offer personalized assistance for these students, including meetings with our ESE Resource teacher to review Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Our team is comprised of push-in academic support for academic support, ensuring that military ESE children receive the specialized education they require.

Military Recognition Events:

We honor Veterans and other servant men/women with Elevate Bay, Wall of Fame, and highlighting the remarkable work of our military members. raining Academies. Furthermore, we participate in the Annual Military Graduation Recognition Ceremony, honoring graduating seniors with retired or active-duty parents for their contributions to both our school and the wider community.

Mental Health Resources For Military Families:

We understand that the well-being of military children is a top priority. To support their mental health, students can access TRIAD Counselors, who can provide counseling and emotional support. We aim to ensure that every military child on our campus has the resources they need to maintain their mental and emotional well-being. In summary, our school is deeply committed to providing military children and their families with the support they require to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our goal is to make their educational journey as smooth as possible and express our gratitude for their service through various recognition events and support services.
